FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (Consumer)

As a partner, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with these FAQs and let us know of other questions you receive so we can update this section. Knowing these answers will help you promote the products properly.

Q. WHAT ARE THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS MADE OF?

A. The Hair Building Fibers are made of Keratin protein, the same thing that makes up human hair. The Keratin protein comes from a natural wool source, which is the closest match to human hair.  Learn about Keratin and other alternatives here.

Q. IF IT BEGINS TO RAIN, WILL THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS REMAIN IN MY HAIR?

A. The Hair Building Fibers stay firmly in place even in wind, rain and perspiration, typically. You may also wish to use some hairspray as well.

Q. DO THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS AFFECT HAIR GROWTH?

A. No, the Hair Building Fibers do not encourage or discourage hair growth. The natural Keratin Fibers will not clog pores or affect a scalp condition.

Q. HOW LONG WILL THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS STAY IN PLACE?

A. The Hair Building Fibers stay until you wash your hair. However, if you touch your scalp (and especially dig), you’re going to remove some of the fibers, so hands off your head! Please note, that fibers may flake somewhat throughout the day and may be visible on surfaces like chair headrests and pillows, but will generally wash right out.

Q. CAN THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS COVER GRAY ROOTS OR COLOR-TREATED ROOT RE-GROWTH?

A. The Hair Building Fibers can be used to effectively and easily cover both gray roots and color-treated root re-growth! Remember, the fibers do NOT contribute to hair grown or restoration whatsoever.

Q. CAN I USE THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS WITH STYLING TOOLS AND PRODUCTS?

A. It is recommended that the Hair Building Fibers be applied after the use of any styling tools such as hairdryers, flat irons or curling irons. Styling products (other than hairspray) should be applied to the hair prior to applying the Hair Building Fibers. Applying gels, mousses, pastes, serums, and the like after applying Fibers may cause shifting the Fibers and could expose the areas that were meant to be covered. Let styling products dry before applying Fibers.

Q. HOW DO I MAKE MY HAIRLINE LOOK NATURAL?

A. The irregular teeth and unique design of the Hairline Optimizer is ideal for naturally framing the areas around the face, including  the forehead and temple areas. This tool also keeps Fibers from getting onto the forehead when applying fibers to the front hairline.

Q. DO I NEED TO USE HAIR SPRAY?

A. A light coating of hair spray is suggested to keep the fibers intact longer. The hair spray you use can impact this, so be advised to try it out, wait for it to dry, and if results aren’t as expected, try a lighter hold spray. For best results, use Diversified Hair™ FIber Hold Spray.

Q. DO THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS WORK ON ETHNIC HAIR?

A. The texture and appearance of the the Hair Building Fibers work well with ethnic hair.

Q. HOW LONG WILL A BOTTLE OF THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS LAST?

A. It depends on how frequently you use the product and the amount of the product you use each time.

Q. CAN I MIX DIFFERENT COLORS OF THE HAIR BUILDING FIBERS?

A. Yes, you can mix different shades of the Hair Building Fibers. In fact, it is often encouraged to mix different shades in order to find the closest match to your own color, especially when working with blonde or gray hair. The product can either be mixed directly in the hair (use the lighter color first, and then layer the darker color over it). That is going to take some practice.

Q. DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES?

A. Yes, but all international purchases are handled through our eBay store at: https://www.ebay.com/str/diversifiedcompany. Some products cannot be shipped internationally, so if they do not appear on your version of eBay, (e.g. ebay.ca, ebay.uk, etc.) then that product can’t be sold to your location sadly. Through our site, we only ship to US addresses. Shipping charges are added to all international sales.

WHAT DOES “SUGGESTED RETAIL” MEAN?
Suggested retail prices are provided as a reference only to help partners quickly understand typical pricing ranges and potential margins.

Partners are not required to sell at the suggested retail price. You are free to set your own pricing, provided it complies with MAP requirements and does not fall below your purchase price without written approval.

WHAT ARE THE PRE-PACKAGED KITS?
Pre-packaged kits are fixed product combinations (3-item or 4-item kits) offered for convenience. They contain the same individual products sold separately, but at a discount to the partner and to your customer.

DO KITS SAVE ME MONEY AS A PARTNER?

DO KITS SAVE MY CUSTOMER MONEY?

No. Kits are never priced below Diversified Hair’s direct-to-consumer retail pricing.

Branding, Marketing & Compliance

CAN YOU ADD UPC CODES TO THESE PRODUCTS?
Yes. Please contact us if you require UPC codes.

At this time, Diversified Hair products are printed without UPC codes. However, we can provide UPC barcode stickers that may be placed on the bottom of each product and scanned with your POS system. These will be universal codes just like other products you scan at your POS.

These UPC stickers are provided at no additional cost. We can also affix the stickers to your products before shipment if requested. Please note that adding UPC stickers may delay shipping by one to two business days.

As our partner program continues to grow, it is our intent to have UPC codes printed directly on product packaging. Whether UPCs are provided via stickers or printed on the product in the future, your pricing will not increase.

If UPC codes are required for your business, we recommend contacting us prior to placing your order so we can ensure proper setup.

CAN I APPLY MY OWN BARCODE TO THE PRODUCT TO WORK WITH MY POS SYSTEM?
Yes, you may apply your own barcode to the product to support your POS system for your internal inventory and checkout needs.

However, you may not register or assign your own UPC codes under the Diversified Hair brand name. Official UPC codes may only be issued by Diversified Hair.

Custom barcodes are permitted for internal use only and must not be represented as official Diversified Hair UPCs.

If and when Diversified Hair begins printing UPC codes directly on product packaging, please be sure to either discontinue using your own barcode or clearly train your staff on which barcode should be scanned. This helps avoid scanning errors, inventory issues, or pricing discrepancies.

If you have any questions about barcode usage or compatibility, please contact us before placing an order.

CAN I USE DIVERSIFIED HAIR LOGOS AND PRODUCT IMAGES?
Yes. Approved logos and images may be used.

CAN I CREATE MY OWN PHOTOS OR VIDEOS?
Yes, provided the content does not harm the Diversified Hair brand or reputation.

ARE MEDICAL OR HAIR LOSS CURE CLAIMS ALLOWED?
No. Medical claims or “cures hair loss” language are prohibited.

CAN I COMPARE PRODUCTS TO COMPETITORS?
Yes, provided comparisons are truthful, lawful, non-defamatory, and compliant with advertising laws.

IS PRIVATE LABELING ALLOWED?
No. Private labeling is prohibited.

CAN PRODUCTS SAY “DISTRIBUTED BY” MY BUSINESS?
Yes, with approval, a small additional fee, and minimum quantities of 100 of each product.

CAN I REPACKAGE PRODUCTS?
Repackaging is generally not allowed. Proposals may be submitted for review.

Yes. A 20 percent restocking fee applies unless the error is ours.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO REPORT DAMAGED SHIPMENTS?
Damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery and must include photo documentation.

WHO PAYS FOR SHIPPING?
Partners are responsible for shipping costs unless waived through promotion, written contract, or another approved exception. As part of our partner program, we absorb up to $25 per partner per rolling 30-day period in shipping costs.

WHAT DOES “ROLLING 30-DAY PERIOD” MEAN?
A rolling 30-day period is calculated on a continuous basis and is not tied to a calendar month. Shipping absorption is evaluated based on shipping activity within the most recent 30 days.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SHIPPING COSTS EXCEED THE $25 ABSORBED AMOUNT?
If shipping costs exceed the absorbed amount within any rolling 30-day period, the excess shipping costs will be billed separately prior to shipment and must be paid before the order ships.

IS THE $25 SHIPPING ABSORPTION APPLIED PER ORDER?
No. Shipping absorption is not applied on a per-order basis. It may be evaluated based on order size, weight, destination, shipping method, order frequency, and aggregate volume within a rolling 30-day period.

CAN ORDERS BE CONSOLIDATED?
Yes. Orders placed within a short time frame may be consolidated into a single shipment at our discretion to reduce shipping costs and improve fulfillment efficiency.

WHICH CARRIERS DO YOU USE?
We ship via USPS and UPS. The carrier and service are selected based on the least expensive option that also provides the fastest reasonable delivery time and may vary by order.

DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING?
Yes, when available. If you require expedited or overnight shipping, please contact us prior to shipment. We will confirm availability and provide pricing for approval before proceeding.

HOW ARE LARGE OR BULK ORDERS HANDLED?
Large or bulk orders may require multi-package shipments or freight shipping. In these cases, shipping costs may be quoted or billed separately prior to shipment and must be paid before fulfillment.

WHEN DOES RISK OF LOSS TRANSFER?
Risk of loss transfers once the shipment leaves our facility.

IS DROPSHIPPING ALLOWED?
Dropshipping is permitted only with prior approval and must be conducted under the partner’s branding.

WHY IS DIVERSIFIED HAIR’S DIRECT WEBSITE PRICING SOMETIMES LOWER THAN PARTNER PRICING?
Diversified Hair is a growing brand competing against much larger, established companies. Our direct-to-consumer pricing supports brand awareness, customer acquisition, and long-term market growth. In practice, customers who discover Diversified Hair through a salon or barbershop often continue purchasing through that establishment due to trust, convenience, and loyalty.

For partners concerned about direct purchases, we offer options such as affiliate participation, authorized reseller benefits, and additional support tools designed to protect and grow your business. Partners may join the affiliate program at https://diversified.hair/affiliates to receive credit for qualifying sales.

WHY CAN’T I BUY FROM THE RETAIL SITE AND RESELL THE PRODUCTS?
Purchasing from our retail website for resale is not permitted and does not qualify a business as an authorized Diversified Hair partner.

The retail site is designed for individual consumer use and brand growth. Products purchased through the retail channel do not include reseller authorization, partner pricing, pricing protections, or access to partner-only benefits.

Authorized partners receive advantages that retail purchasers do not, including access to partner pricing tiers, volume discounts, partner support, marketing assistance, and long-term pricing stability.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RESELL PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE RETAIL SITE?
If we become aware that products purchased through the retail channel are being resold, the account may be reviewed to determine whether reseller authorization is appropriate. Possible outcomes may include loss of partner pricing or benefits, suspension or termination of a partner account, or ineligibility for future reseller approval.

Our goal is not enforcement for its own sake, but to maintain fair pricing, protect authorized partners, and preserve brand integrity.

WHY IS THE PRICE OFTEN LESS ONLINE THAN IN A PHYSICAL STORE OR SALON?
Selling factory-direct online and selling through physical retail locations are very different business models, each with its own costs and responsibilities.

When you buy factory-direct online, orders ship directly from our fulfillment operation to the customer. There are no storefront leases, in-store staff, shelf placement fees, or in-person sales support involved.

Supporting physical retail outlets and salons, however, involves additional costs that do not exist in a direct-to-consumer model. These can include professional wholesale packaging, inventory staging, retail-ready labeling, training and education for staff, point-of-sale materials, product displays, marketing support, account management, and ongoing partner assistance.

Physical retailers also carry real-world expenses such as rent, staffing, utilities, inventory risk, and customer service time. Retail pricing reflects both those operational costs and the added value of in-person service, product guidance, immediate availability, and ongoing support.

Both pricing models are legitimate, and neither is deceptive. Factory-direct pricing helps us introduce the brand to new customers and grow awareness, while retail partners provide professional expertise, convenience, and trusted relationships that online purchasing cannot replace.

Many customers discover Diversified Hair online but choose to continue purchasing through a local salon or retailer because of personalized service, familiarity, and long-term trust. Even customers who buy directly from us and then later discover it in a retail establishment are likely to purchase directly from a retailer even at a higher price as long as they know they are receiving the same quality product from their trusted retailer, plus they don’t have to wait for it to arrive at their home.
